Hi, my name is Brian and I’m currently an Affiliate Account Manager for the LivePerson B2C Expert Advice Platform. I first started making money as a publisher by promoting other peoples auctions on eBay thru blogging, newsletter publishing and pay per click advertising. I later compiled additional ideas and thoughts to show others how to make money the same way into a downloadable eBook titled: “Make Money Selling Nothing on eBay”. It became a top resold eBook on eBay in 2006 & 2007. I was making great commissions thru the Commission Junction platform which eBay used as a Third Party Affiliate Network provider. Without doing a single thing, at one point I was making an average $600 extra dollars a month. eBay later eliminated the sale of digital goods as many sellers were reselling eBooks for a low price and manipulating their feedback. Soon after they cancelled their partnership with CJ and brought their Affiliate Program in-house (EPN). It killed my eBay business and the nice gig I had going. Who knows where my residual income could have been by now if they didn’t do either of those things. I later republished the eBook to be sold thru the Clickbank Marketplace. It never saw the same traction it once did thru the eBay outlet, but still generates considerable sales on a monthly basis. I’ve learned a lot in the process; it taught me how to embrace and adapt to changes. Although discouraged, I still believed in the power of Affiliate Marketing and set out to expand my horizons. This lead me to start this blog to learn more about the industry, as well as share my ideas, thoughts and experiences. I offer a unique perspective as a successful affiliate publisher but also as a merchant advertiser where I’ve created and worked with multiple affiliate network platforms.
